Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg). Developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it has been studied for its anxiolytic, nootropic, and immunomodulatory properties.

Research has demonstrated Selank's ability to modulate GABAergic and serotonergic signalling without the sedative effects associated with classical anxiolytics. Studies have also investigated its effects on BDNF expression, working memory, and stress response regulation in preclinical models.
